StreamChai Platform Agreement Summary
By accessing or using StreamChai ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), whether as a live content creator ("Streamer") or as an audience supporter ("Supporter" / "Tipper"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. StreamChai provides real-time digital tipping, virtual chai tokens, and live OBS audio-visual alert broadcasting powered by Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd.
1.Acceptance & Eligibility
By accessing StreamChai, creating a creator account, or sending a digital Chai tip, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have explicit parental/legal guardian consent if above the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
If you represent an organization or gaming team, you warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2.Description of Services
StreamChai is an interactive software platform that facilitates digital cheer, tipping, and broadcast alert customization for live video streams on platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and Kick.
- Supporter Services: Allows viewers to send voluntary monetary appreciation ("Chai Tips") via UPI (Unified Payments Interface) accompanied by custom text and Text-to-Speech (TTS) messages.
- Streamer Services: Provides verified creators with unique tipping links, real-time OBS/browser-source overlays, donation goal widgets, and automated toxicity filtering.
- No Banking/Investment Service: StreamChai is not a bank, non-banking financial institution (NBFC), or money service business. We do not provide interest, loans, or securities.
3.Platform Commission & Pricing Structure
StreamChai operates on a transparent, ultra-low fee structure:
Specialized enterprise streamer accounts or high-volume creators may be eligible for custom commission rates as configured in their verified profile settings.
4.Payment Processing & Cashfree Integration
All online payments, UPI transfers, and creator payout disbursements are processed securely through our licensed payment partner, Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. ("Cashfree"), an RBI-authorized Payment Aggregator.
By initiating a transaction on StreamChai, you authorize Cashfree to process your payment via UPI apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.) or supported banking instruments. StreamChai does not store sensitive banking credentials, debit card numbers, or UPI PINs on its servers.
5.Prohibited Activities & Content Guidelines
Users and Streamers agree NOT to use StreamChai for:
Violations will result in immediate termination of creator account access, forfeiture of unpaid balances resulting from fraud, and referral to relevant cyber law enforcement authorities under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
6.Tax Compliance & Creator Responsibility
Streamers are independent contractors and are solely responsible for declaring, reporting, and remitting all applicable Indian income taxes, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other statutory levies arising from tipping revenue collected on their channels.
7.Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
8.Modifications to Terms
StreamChai reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Notice of substantial revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform constitutes binding acceptance of modified terms.
